Just like any other fear it has to be dealt with. Whether you deal with it in therapy or while in a birthing bed giving birth is hard work. And even though it is natural and women have been doing it for centuries keep in mind that up until a couple of generations even here in the US women died frequently in child bed from “child bed’ fever or mother and child died because a c-section couldn’t be done.
If someone is afraid of childbirth I would urge them to talk with someone who has done it so they can see it isn’t all bad, I mean you do (usually) get to take home a bundle of love.
